Hi hopeful,

If you are experiencing adverse side effects from taking chantix, definitely consult your doctor or healthcare professional. They will be able to determine what is causing your nausea and can potentially offer alternatives.

I am on the half dose of Chantix. I cant take the full dose because it causes me super bad kidney pain, but I am still taking the dose when I go to bed. The bad thing is that its an ordeal as well. About an 20-30 minutes after I take it wake up with severe nausea I hold out for as long as possible before I get sick and when I do I feel like its all stomach acid, ( It might be helpful at this point to tell you that I do have severe acid reflux disease) but this never happened before the Chantix.
I have tried everything to make this go away. Eating before the pill, taking it with milk, the whole nine yards, nothing works.  My husband says that I should stop taking it but I am worried about how it will interfere with my quit.

My Mileage:

My Quit Date: 7/31/2010
Smoke-Free Days: 4
Cigarettes Not Smoked: 200
Amount Saved: $44.00
Life Gained:
