Hey Bigpoppy!!!
Welcome to the SSC!!! You have found the best place for obtaining knowledge and support! I was so lucky to have found this site right before my quit date because I am positive that I would not have been able to quit without the help of all of our quit buddies here!
Stick close the first few weeks!!! Read and learn from the Program and from fellow quitters here on the forums! I practically lived here my first few weeks! I would get done with a job and read a few posts, do some searches (the search function works great!), and post and then get up and do another job, etc. There is a wealth of information here and you will need all that you can get to be successful in your future battles with the nico-demon!!!
Be sure to prepare yourself well and do go through all the milestones in the Program, as the better prepared you are the better chance for success!!! You know the 6-P's... Proper Planning Prevents Piss-Poor Performance!!! There are other useful features, like the workbook, your crave diary... check them all out!
Finally, if the craves REALLY start to get to you, post here for help and wait for 5 replies! By that 5th one, your crave will be gone and hopefully you hadn't run out to buy that next pack!
It is also very helpful to try to maintain a very Positive Mental Attitude about your quit!! Keep telling yourself that you CAN do this, because all you have to do is look around to see the success that people are having here! Try to get words like "I can't" right out of your vocabulary and try not to let this process get you down! Try to keep upbeat because the outcome of this is that you will be FREE!!!

So, read and learn and yell when you need us! You can do it!
