Steelroots congrats on day 40!
I like how you said, "may have smelled to others."
I really had no idea how stinky I was to everyone else till I quit!
Ugh!
Keep up that great quit!
All the best!

Steel, speaking of stinky cigarettes, make sure you wash all of your summer clothes before you wear them.  I made the mistake of not washing all of my winter clothes (I quit in August) and when I put them on in November I stunk like smoke!  I never thought about it, I just put on clothes!  Then I realized they still stunk!  Then I stunk!  So for all of the recent quitters who haven't broken out their summer wardrobe yet, be sure to wash everything and use fabric softener to get rid of the smoke smell!  Congrats on 39 smoke free and great smelling days!

This is probably crazy for most of you, but I decided to post this anyway, because it may help some of the other new- comers.  I intentionally saved the butts of the last pack I smoked leading up to my quit day.  When I have my craves or think too much about smoking, I go outside and take the lid off the container and sniff- The 1st week or two it didn't smell too bad but tomorrow is day 40 and it's beginning to smell really bad.  It reminds me how my hair and clothes may have smelled to others.
