Hypertension increases the risk for heart disease and stroke which are both leading causes of death.Here are a few tips to help prevent and control high blood pressure:

-Eat a healthy, balanced diet
-Maintain a healthy body weight
-Participate in regular physical activity
-Quit smoking
-Use stress management techniques
-Check blood pressure regularly and have regular check-ups with your doctor
