Well, sia, you're free to do as you see fit and ultimately your own perceptions will win out. However, many of us are here because we've tried to develop our own plan and quit on our own before, and we failed. Past failure is a signal that help is needed and that something different needs to be tried. Will power alone is usually not enough to quit smoking for good, because smoking does not indicate of failure of the will. Most smokers would will a permanent quit if they could. That said, fruit is loaded with sugar and sugar is sugar. It might be a good idea to mix the fruits with vegetables, which contain less sugar and just as much, if not more, fiber and water.
