Welcome Sia, this is a great place to quit, because you are never alone here. Many of us have done it and we are here to help. There are tons of info in the threads here, so read all you can. You will learn alot and knowledge is power!
Get yourself a quit tool kit together, with ice cold water, candy, straws, gum, whatever you need to keep your mouth busy and mind off smoking. Make a list of things to do. Rearrange your routine for the first while to make it easier.
You can do this! Congratulatins on quitting!

Hi sia,

Welcome to our wonderful online support community and congratulations on making the decision to quit smoking.
You've already gotten some really great advice from your fellow quitters! Preparation is key as this is an addiction. You need to figure out how your going to deal with cravings and what new habit you'll replace smoking with. (The program will help you do all this.)

Start reading through the forums, you'll quickly realize that many have felt just as you do now and they are now non-smokers. You'll also be able to find a lot of tips and tricks to help you along the way.

We'll help you through this every step of the way and we'll help you make it stick!

Good luck & check back soon!

Hi Sia!  Welcome to the SSC and congratulations on your decision to quit smoking!  Brenda gave you some great advice!  Have you set up a reward program yet?  You need to celebrate each passed craving (small reward), each smoke free day (medium reward), and each smoke free week (larger reward).  Rewards can be simple things like a long shower or bubble bath, a small guilty pleasure, a nice walk, a scented candle, a new book, anything to celebrate being smoke free!  We're all rooting for your success!

Welcome, sia. If you haven't already, you might want to go to 'My Program' and put together a program for yourself, read as many postings as possible, and set up your profile so that we can share in your successes. Get yourself plenty of vegetables, drinks lots of ice, cold water, and eat sugar-free hard candies. The veggies and ice water and candies will help with the munchies, and the water will also increase your metabolism and loosen mucus. You can setup your information by going to 'My profile' and 'Support Group Options'. Everything can be found near the top of this page. Again, welcome and good luck.

i'm from romania. the reason why i'm here it's plain simple and at the same time very complicated because of the action that i must take. i need to stop smoking. this is the action. and i don't want to be alone while i'm doing this. this is the reason.
