Well Done......57 days is awesome........

Not sure what a "stone" in weight is.....but I added 10 pounds or so.  My Dr put me on a pill to raise my "GOOD" cholesterol and my bad is down.  I had badddd days when I was at 50-60.....needed a smoke.....deserved one!!!!  Nothing wrong with crying....it happens.

I said N.O.P.E. and came here.  Now I'm at 162 days and still counting.  It does get better.  I promise you.  But you already know that and I can see the resolve in your Quit.  Nice to see that........

Keep the Quit

Glad to be

Yep you are so right there, once you know that you can beat this addiction, the confidence that knowlege brings is like a seed.  Once you planted it, it will grow many many experiential branches.  You will no doubt find abilities in yourself that you never knew where there...Keep up the journey, a bit of crying is not such a bad thing...

stay well

Good for you, Glad To Be Free!!

Your positive attitude will take you far. You will deal with your weight when the time is right for you. On a positive note...smoking increases bad cholesterol, so watch for an improvement there!!!

Hope your day is stress free, I know it will be smoke free!!

Congratulaations Glad to be Free!
It's great yo have 57 days under your belt. That is a great acomplishment.! Be proud of yourself.
And about the weight gain, don't worry so much. If you can quit smoking, you can lose the stone you gained. But you are healthier now.
Try to concentrate just in your quit. Don't worry about the weight gain. Just try to eat healthy and do some kind of physical activity. You will lose it eventually!
Hugs

Glad, first, congratulations on 57 smoke free days!  You have a great quit going!  Yeah, most of us gain a little bit of weight during our quit.  But like you said, if you can quit smoking you can do anything!  Just remember that this temporary inconvenience will yield a HUGE permanent improvement!  And like Sarah suggested, I hope you have a HUGE reward planned to celebrate 60 smoke free days!

glad to be free,

Thank you for sharing your experience here. Your mentality during this quit is incredible. Take it one day at a time, you will get through this.

Any rewards planned for when you hit the 60 day mark? Let us know how it goes for you!
