You folks are so sweet, thank you all for the support and caring. Yesterday was rough and today isn't starting out much better but I'm hanging on to your hands and your words of support. Drinking gallons of ice water and lots of deep breathing.

Dear Lisa,

Welcome back

Sorry to hear of your slip; but as you say below--hopefully, that will serve to make you stronger and more resolved this final quit. You know the drill--lots of slow deeeeep breaths, iced water and lots of time here on the SSC. We're here to help & so glad you're back.

Stay Strong,
Deb

Welcome back, Lisa!  Congratulations on your quit...as well as your determination!  Awesome.  Great advice to post often and let us know how you're making out.
Take that first week a step at a time.  Sip ice water, nap when possible, walk, chew gum, watch good tv, jump up and down...you get the picture.  Whatever it takes.  And remember...THIS TOO SHALL PASS.
So happy to have you back.

Cheers,
Jan

I'm making it, had some bad craves this morning but I knew I would, I was one to jump right out of bed and go smoke. I'm still craving but it's not as strong now and I do have my ice water right beside me and all you wonderful folks right here reaching out a hand for me to squeeze when the urge gets bad. Rock don't feel too sorry for me for having to go thru hell week again I made that choice when I didn't say N.O.P.E.  I 'm hoping that I remember this Hell week for the rest of my life!!!  It's so nice to meet all you new quitters, please never give into that "stinking thinking" take my word you cane NEVER have just 1. Kaiser I'm doing pretty good today, I remember you starting here and WOW you're now over 300 days..Congrats!!!

Lisa

Lisa way to go!  Isn't it odd that you (myself included) want to smoke at work?  We are not able to smoke at work and yet that is where I find my craving the highest.  Good for you for having the attitude to keep on trying.  See your next post soon.
