Lisa, just don't quit quitting!  Its like the prodigal son (daughter in your case), our arms are always wide open welcoming you back!  I like your approach, take a couple days to get everything in synch.  Go back through "my program", read, read, and read, and the journal is a good thing too!  And if you need a few more days, then take them!  Just don't feel pressured to jump back in if you aren't 110% prepared and ready.  Please know that we will all be here, extending our hands to you when you are ready to grab them!

Hello Lisa
I'm so happy you didn't quit on us.
Remember smoking cessation IT IS NOT AN EVENT, IT IS A PROCESS.
EVERY PERSON'S PROCESS IS DIFFERENT. THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS IS TO KEEP ON QUITTING.
AS LONG AS YOU ARE DOING IT, YOU ARE GOING TO BE FINE!!!!
YOU HAVE A BETTER UNDERSTANDING OF THIS NASTY ADDICTION, SO YOU ARE BETTER EQUIPPED TO SUCCEED!
EVERY SLIP OR RELAPSE IS A LEARNING EXPERIENCE IN THIS PROCESS. IT IS A TRIAL AND ERROR JOURNEY. THERE IS NO MAGIC PROCEDURE. EVERY ONE OF US SHOULD FIND ITS OWN PERSONAL WAY TO REMAIN SMOBER.
SO GIVE YOURSELF A BIG HUG, I'M SENDING YOU THE BIGGEST ONE I HAVE; AND DO IT AGAIN!!! COMMITMENT AND PERSEVERANCE ARE ESSENTIAL!
I'M GLAD YOU ARE BACK. I'M SENDING YOU THE BEST VIBES i HAVE!
MARIVI

Kylisa, Just keep on trying until it works. That is what my Doctor told me when I was ready to give up. You will get there. Journalling will help you alot, use positive affirmations to help yourself. It will work. Reading here will help too, remeber to do the deep breathing and have lots of cold water and your basket of tools handy when you start. You have been far enough down this road before to know that the rewards are soooo worth it, so never give up! You can do this.

Lisa,

How about this Quote of the Day!
cameless
Today's Date: June 02, 2009

Quote of the Day:
Many men fail because they quit too soon. They lose faith when the signs are against them. They do not have the courage to hold on, to keep fighting in spite of that which seems insurmountable. If more of us would strike out and attempt the "impossible," we very soon would find the truth of that old saying that nothing is impossible... abolish fear and you can accomplish anything you wish.
- Dr. C. E. Welch

Lisa,
We only fail when we stop coming here and trying. You are still here. You know you want this. We're all sure you can do this. Make this the most important thing in your life for now. It will be the best thing. Promise!
