What is The Best?

Hi Lee,

For the most part most of us get drug in.  Most do it to be cool, fit in, etc.  We smoke it tastes awful but we force ourselves to keep doing it until it tastes good.  In that timeframe our brain gets shifted off balance and we need to take in the nicotine to return to a normal (non smoking state).  The irony is that has we not smoked in the first place we would always be in this state.  Instead we invested large sums of money to make us feel normal some of the time.  I've come to terms with the fact that I've wasted my money and have moved on.  I'm glad your here buddy.  Stay strong.

thanks for all the support. I will not crumble. I must be stronger than the beast. Have you ever wondered why we ever decided to pick up that habbit? And why do we stick with it for so long, it is like bondadge. This week I know is tough (hell week) but I have made up my mind to battle this thing..................Lee

Hi Lee,

Congratulations on taking this journey with us.  It's hard work but well worth it.  If you take a look at this post you will see all the great benefits that others are gaining by not lighting up.  For you there are clearly at least two.  1) You will never be a bad influence on your Grand Baby 2) You will be around a lot longer to watch your Grand Baby grow up and 3) You will be able to keep up with him/her.

For me I'm gonna list two.  That's right I'm breaking the rules....lol

1) My son and I can play for long periods of time without exhaustion.  That to me is worth more than anything else.

2) Seven deadly sins and well mine is Pride.  I walk tall now.  Many doubted that I could overcome this and I did.  Kicking, Screaming, Scraping, Clawing, and slowly climbing my way out of hell.  There's a lot of stronger people in this world than I that couldn't do the same.  Maybe now the'll know they can.

Hi Lee, welcome to the SSC.  You are not alone here, you have lots of new friends now to help you through this.  Hell week is the worst, actually the first 3 days.  You are already through that and it will start to get a little better.  You can do this and we can help.  Drink lots of cold water and take lots of deep breaths, the crave will pass making you stronger with each one.  Stay close to this site and post and read often.  Jo
