The blahs, well do I know that feeling.  I can remember wondering if I was going to feel like that for the rest of my life.  It felt like I couldn't move and everything in life lost its luster.  Once I got my head screwed on tight again I realized life is really much better..you are on the path to a better life.  Glad the cravings have eased up a bit, that is exhausting in itself.  Your doing great Deb, hang in there.

This quitting is quite the roller coaster.  Thanks to everyone for normalizing all the feelings that go with it.  That helped.

The blah's actually threw me a little because I wasn't expecting it.  I had prepared for everything else!

I feel back to normal this morning, and am looking forward to going in to work.  The cravings are definately better with the start of this second week, but I do know to stay on guard based on what others have written about that sneaking up on you.  Hope you all have a powerful, smoke-free day!  Stay strong.

Hi Deb,
I've seen mentioned that that body has much healing to do after quitting smoking. Some days the body just needs to rest because almost every cell has had to fight to expel all the chemicals.  Sounds like it's a good thing that you are resting, gives your body a chance to catch up!

Your post reminded me of an old sitcom, one of the characters was Bob Loblaw. It's fun  just to say the name. If you every married him... you could be Mrs. Bob Loblaw!

The blahs are one of the phases of healing. You are progressing!

Take care,
HP

Really just writing to stay on top of myself.  I was off today and it was so blah that it made white toast look exotic.  The cravings were actually almost nonexistant-- this was the first day the cravings stopped clawing at me.  I was really tired and had no motivation to even move.  I know I couldn't stop moving yesterday so perhaps my body is just worn out from all of the constant movement.  So that's my check in.  Tomorrow promises to be really busy, so that should snap me out of sighing and schlumping.  I know this is just another phase (thank goodness!).  Sleep well all.
