Wazz, nice to see you're doing it! Now is the time to change up your daily routines. It really helps!

Stop telling yourself how hard it is, yes we all know its tough, but give yourself some positve feedback, turn it around to say

"I can do this, no matter how hard it is!" There are harder things in life, like saying good bye to a freind who is dying of lung cancer! Now that is hard!

Cold Turkey is definitely the best. I mean why would you want to prolong the agony of quitting the thing that you're addicted to by ingesting it in a different form!!! The first 2 weeks are easy, despite the names given to them cos you have all your energy and concentration focussed on the potential difficulties. The crap comes in the 3rd week IMO, when you're getting tired of quitting, and feel that it should be getting easier.

That's when I found this site and focussed on the positives of a life quit and shared my feelings with special people who were on the journey with me.

Way to go, Wazz!!!

I know exactly how you feel about wanting to be sedated the first couple of weeks!! Actually, it sort of felt like I was sedated I was in so much of a fog!!! Basically, I sat right here quite a bit of the time and read and posted!! If I didn't have this site as a distraction, as well as for the support, I would probably been a raving maniac!!!

Keep finding distractions and stick close to the site and you'll do great!!!

Dont you find the dreams strange?? I did, and I quite enjoyed mine as surreal as they were (mine were all really violent and I am the least violent person in the world -maybe it was my alter ego) but as Patrick says they dont last too long!

Thx the support is very important to me. I have a millions reason why i could restart smoking but truly my number 1 goal

is I have never done anything this hard, its a great challenge. I wasnt ready in the past to step up but no is the right

time. I do wish I could be sedated for about 2 weeks but it is what it is.

Hey WazzI also quit cold turkey. Last night was the first night I have received sleep without waking up every hour on the hour.  I do feel better too and believe me, once your hell week is over, it does get better (I know I went through it two weeks ago yikes and just finished heck week).  I dont dwell on cigarettes all the time like the first week either.  Just be determined and YOU will make it through this.  There are some REALLY awesome people here that without them, I would not have stuck with this.
