my original quit day was march 4th or 5th i think. on march 7th i decided to meet my pals for a little poker game.
well once the beer started flowing i threw in the towel and smoked like a phene.
reset my quit day for march 12th , learned my lesson and haven't touched one since.

obviously the moral of the lesson is avoid the high temptation places until you get a little more time under your belt.

you'll do great , you got right back up on the horse.

Thats the spirit FR8!! yes you put yourself in temptations way too early it sounds like-and course with a little bit of the old grown up's soda inside you, you let your guard right down!

OK! So it was a slip. I realize that I can't be out with my mates drinking until I've gotten through the worse of these withdrawals. It was very foolish of me to even think that could be a possibility in the first week. So, listen, I'm back on track and have gone the last 2 days smoke free. I am determined to beat this and stay smoke free for the rest of my life. NOPE! I've got that pasted on the bathroom mirror so I see it several times a day. Here we go again.

Hi FR8!! day five already!! Fr8 I have to agree with Patrick- I can 'feel' your determination coming through your posts and I felt that from the first.
I love that you are considering going back to running- that really is something to work towards- oh and thanks for the pounds to stones conversion saved me getting out the calculator!!
Keep going- look forward to reading how today goes too.

OK, so it is getting a bit easier. The library has really been a safe haven for me during the day. Also, I had dinner in our garden last night. This was the first time I actually had been in the garden since I smoked my last cigarette there on Saturday night. Though I had some craving, I got through it and the meal and glass of wine afterward was very enjoyable.

Now it's on to another day of smoke free living.
