I know they have really "upped " the commercials and news on Chantix. I had to sop early because of side effects....
mine were Gastrointestinal. The side effects worsened as I was on it.
When You are ready there is a FREE on line E book (download) "Allen Carr's Easy Way To Quit Smoking"
I don't know how to share e mails or links here..
You will be in my thoughts.. and we are here for you...
Warm wishes and thoughts, Bonnie

I'm so sorry to hear about the rough time you
had. Remember to make use of the suicide prevention hotline in
your area should the thought come up again. You can call them any
time of the day or night and they're a godsend. You can just talk
to them and sometimes having someone to talk to is just what you need
to get you through a difficult time. For now just take it
easy. Don't worry about the smoking right now. You have
enough on your plate. I know how deeply this sort of thing can
shake you up. Take care, be ever so kind to yourself, lots of
positive self-talk and keep in touch. Everyone here is really
concerned about you. Big hugs to you and 'member we're all
thinkin' bout ya.

Beckylynn - I am so sorry to hear what happened to you. Yes, Chantix can cause suicidal thoughts. That's one of the reasons the ads on tv were changed to talk with your doctor before going on it. You are such a part of SSC, please do not stop posting and let us know how you are. Sometimes just talking about it helps. We are all here for you. And, yes, you will be in my prayers.

Beckylynn, so sorry that the meds dealt you such a horrible experience. Thank God the suicide attempt didn't work. I am going to encourage you, also, to keep coming here and post and share with us. You will find the right time to put them down, in the mean time please come here there are so many that care about you. I didn't have the experience that you had but I had the group encouraging me even though I was smoking. They never gave up on me and we will never give up on you.
Keep the Quit
