I have to agree about the fact that I thought I breathed better before I quit.  As soon as I quit I ended up at the dr's and found out I had asthma. 
 
You can think that is sad, but it is far better than finding out I have lung cancer or heart disease.  You should go get it checked out.  But do not fret because anything is better than smoking I assure you.
