    I think it must have been the posting thing that was your downfall last time!!!  You didn't post when you thought you could have one just one puff.  We really hadn't seen many posts from you for a while!  You know the drill, post before you even think about scrounging for a nasty butt!!! 
 
   Yes, it may seem like the same old remarks and you may think it sounds stupid, but when you post your support for someone else, it is acutally reaffirming what you need to be telling yourself!  Make sense?  It does to me...  I'm on here quite often and I see a new post and offer up some words of wit or wisdom and basically I am also telling myself the same things!!!  I try to keep it all positive and it rubs off on me!  Sort of like self speak!!
 
    NOPE!!  No scolding from me!  Just get on here and post and support and follow your own words of wisdom!  We know that you have them in you!!

I really appreciate the support..need it. Yes I have learned from my mistake and will not take my quit for granted again.
  I know now that I must post, I used to post and then thought it sounded stupid or just saying the same thing everyone else did and I would hit cancel...not again. This site is the best tool I have in my quest to conquer this addiction and intend to make full use of it.
  I have also found a meeting in my area and will go there as well.

Hi JuJu,
I think I know how it happened..you started "shooting butts" (that's a new one for me!).  I know "stealing butts, sucking on butts, looking for butts, hiding butts, crushing butts, and Now, shooting butts! Whenever we deceive ourselves into thinking that we can have one puff, or one long butt, or one cig....that is the beginning of the end of our quit. Oh, do I know about those long butts! My quit has gone down the toilet because of sucking on those long butts...many times. The sooner you accept that fact, the quicker you will be on the road to freedom from this addiction. Deceive yourself no more! I would get to feeling so good about myself...I haven't smoked in 45 days, or 63 days, or 92 days! I would think that I could have one cig, or one long butt. When i did that, I would always smoke another one the next day, 2 long butts the day after that, and it would escalate until I got it into my brain that I could not smoke anymore. That would last until the next time I decided that I could have a long butt again..and that week the same thing would happen all over again. Stop the insanity..one is too many and ten thousand is not enough. When you know that there are some good long butts out there on the patio, go wet them down asap...or crush and throw! The coffe can full of water is a good idea. Smoking can not be an option if you ever want to be truly free from this addiction. Life is so much better as a non smoker. You can do this JuJu..just do not quit quitting.

We are here to listen, support and not judge!  You are back on track so get in there and make a difference.  Get out your journal, pinpoint those triggers and have those coping mechanisms ready.

Judi,  ((((hugs)))))!!!!  I think the first thing here is for you NOT to beat yourself up.  That won't do any good.    Regroup - yes;  prepare your coping tools - yes;  give yourself a big hug - yes!!!!  Don't give up on yourself, 'cause we sure won't!  Glad you'll be using an NRT again, and even happier you've picked the quit date.  STAY CLOSE, because we're not going anywhere!  Post...post...post.
