When I tried quitting a couple of years ago, the night sweats finally led me to the doctor at about 2 months. I was prescribed something for that and they went away, but I also went back to smoking.
During this quit, I experienced the same night sweats and prolonged sleep disturbances which took me to the doctor at about 4 months. I asked for sleeping aid (which doesn't work), and she sent me to be tested for sleep apnea. I know I don't have sleep apnea...why....because I'M NOT SLEEPING. Anyway, at 8 months, I continue with sleep disturbances, extreme fire flashes (they are not just hot), and night sweats. I have determined that there is a cyclical nature. So me thinks this is not a quitting smoking thing anymore. Yup, I'm 45.
Call the doctor. I'm there soon.
