Panic attacks and obessive-compulsive disorder

20 years ago 0 28 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
I have a question? My teenage son came to me and my husband last monday, and said he didn't feel good. my worst fear was when I realized he was having a panic attack! After he came down from his panic attack. We talked to him about it and he told us that he has also been having obsessive thoughts and compulsions for two years. I have to tell you he has hid them pretty well. He is a great kid. I have made an appt. with a therapist and has one session. Before going to the therapist I took him to the emergency room to have him checked and they gave him xanxa which has made his panic attacks subside for now. I feel so sorry for him. Its been hard because I have had to keep my own anxiety at bay. My question is? Does any one else have these combinations and I've looked on the internet for support groups like this one, but can't seem to find one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
