Ok, so I've gained around 30 pounds since I stopped smoking. I've been fretting about it since the scale began to creep up last year...I got out for long walks, ate a lot of cellery and carrots and yogurt, but the sweet toothe did me in I guess.
Then I turned 41 last month and had a bit of a revelation.
I'm not a 16 year old child anymore, I am a mature fully developed woman, if I were as skinny as I thought I was supposed to be, I would look like a sickly little old lady. The weight looks good and healthy.
I think I got realistic with myself, and I feel a lot better about myself now.
