Everyone has to do what's best for them. I agree with Den, don't be negative. Keep positive thoughts on this quit. I was having a hard time with that in the beginning before I quit, but once that day came I stayed positive all the way thru and I'm on day 27. You can do this however you choose to do it. Just don't smoke ever!
Good luck to you.
Terry

I thought you can't take both Zyban and patches, but i guess if that helps. Good! Thanks for the support. Have to keep a secret from my husband as he thinks that it is nonsence to take something, he is going cold turkey :eg:

positive thoughts only!! Do not dwell on how hard quitting is or that you"might" slip. That only gives you (subconsciously) permission to slip. I found when i stopped dwelling on the negatives and how hard it was to quit, it got a WHOLE LOT easier. Get out of your head and find stuff that will keep your mind busy with other things. Wishing you the best on your quit journey.

Dazy,
I noticed you're taking Zyban. I am too, as well as the nicotine patch. Both have been a HUGE help to me.
The Zyban takes away your desire to smoke.
Keep going strong,
Cheers, Jan

Dazy,
Is your quit day St. Patrick's Day? Try to enjoy your weekend and don't think too far ahead. Have you checked out all the tools SSC has to offer?
When quit day arrives, take it one baby step at a time. You are so worth this.
Congrats on your decision to quit, and post here often. It really helps.
Best of luck,
Cheers, Jan

i'm still preparing myself. Having just one a day, and in the evening. Zyban really helps.
