Need Help

DJ, I'm on my 3rd day and that's exactly what I had to do. I had to decide if I wanted to quit more than I wanted to smoke. I'm still afraid that I can talk myself into smoking again and it scares me because it was so tuff getting to where I am now. Put them down now and as my friend Sparky said "You know what has to be done, now let's get it done" Sure kicked me in the butt. I wish you luck and I'm pullin for ya. Did you write out your reasons of why you want to quit? If not try it, it worked for me, and then put the list where you used to keep your cigarettes. When you crave, pull it out and read it. Remember, cravings only last a couple minutes your first week then they get shorter and shorter. As a smoker you will have a craving everytime you can't light up. So never feel that you are going to be living with cravings if you stay quit, it is actually the other way around. So get rid of those cigarettes and lets get going on a new life! GL! Decide if you want to quit more than you want to smoke. If you do, I guarantee you'll soon be able to find the answer to your own question. Good luck. x T My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 414 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 9,522 Amount Saved: 2,277.00 Life Gained: Days: 35 Hrs: 6 Mins: 49 Seconds: 4

DJ, A slip doesn't mean the end. You need to pick yourself up and get back on track. Focus on your goal and achieving that goal. Remind yourself of all the benefits you will experience as a non-smoker. Keep persevering! Sylvie, Moderator

What do you want to do? Been slipping/smoking, to me that is the same. If you get honest you have been smoking. What would I do? I would take a look at the tools on the left. Maybe write about it to see what caused it. Reset my meter and begin again (I had do this a lot). Take what you learned and begin again.
