Doing my HEART good!

Back at you. Yes there are many wonderful gifts that come without smoking. First one that I notice was I could smell and my fingers didn't smell. I could breath and walk and walk and talk while I walked and wasn't huffing and puffing. The money saved was spent on things need for the house or a little trips. Yes we saved the money and still do for tangible items. Life is good. Happy Valentines Back at you! My heart bursts with pride at my continuing smoke free life. I like myself more, and I have to agree with Misty where I have a lot left over to give others. And yup....where did the anger go? As much as it took me time to realize it, the grass really is greener on the other side. Hey Phillip, Can't say that I've noticed any changes yet as far as my heart goes ... except maybe that I love myself more! :) Now if we are talking lungs ... well, they don't hurt or feel so tight anymore. I CAN BREATHE! Take care. I agree with all of you. I also feel the Sex is better and I have become a much better person than I was before. I love having more energy, better circulation, more free time (really starting to notice that one finally) more money, and being able to breath. All of that must be great for my heart! Great post! Ok, I'll say it. Better circulation of properly-oxygenated blood+more energy+increased stamina+higher self-esteem= better S E X. ;p My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/14/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 276 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,520 Amount Saved: $3,036.00 Life Gained: Days: 28 Hrs: 10 Mins: 57 Seconds: 14

I don't get winded and feel like i'm being starved for oxygen now when I walk or do any activity. Plus - I don't know if it is a side effect from getting to know myself, or because I did something loving for myself, but i'm a better person now. I still have my moments of course, but for the most part I feel like the love I feel for my loved ones is so much stronger, and that I have so much more compassion, understanding, and acceptance of others, and i'm not so angry all the time. That's GOT to be good for your heart. :) Good thread Phillip, thanks. ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/17/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 577 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 43,275 Amount Saved: $10,818.75 Life Gained: Days: 51 Hrs: 12 Mins: 24 Seconds: 47

As a tiny add on to the Valentines Day thingy ma gig... I am still celebrating, still finding the joy in a new found life. A huge part of doing my heart good is in the very act of celebrating and being grateful for life and all it brings. You might want to check out this thread to see a recent day by day account of this very celebration.
