You can do this, but take the suggestions and stay true to your quit. If if gets tough to be around smokers, LEAVE. Be on guard for the triggers and remember non smokers don't smoke. Smokerella, You'll find out that you are much stronger than you think. The first weekend smoke free is the strength builder. Keep your girls close, they'll keep on the straight and narrow. Lakenip, you are right focus! Have fun! You can do it. Just make a promise to yourself that you will not smoke no matter what. Also,I too just like Islandgirl can't stand the way smokers smell. It makes me sick and all I think about is all those time other people (including my poor children) had to smell me. YUCKKKKKKKKKK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just nasty. (non)smokerella, This might sound odd but this actually got me through a couple of tough times. I LOVED the fact that I could smell again and that I smelled good all day long (and I still love that!). So, taking a quick sniff of my perfumed wrist or catching a waft of fabric softener on my clothes was a great and cheap reminder of why I wanted to stay quit. Just think - come Monday you'll be celebrating your first full week, but only if you don't smoke! You'll be fine and it will get easier with each trigger that you beat. You can do it Smokerella! I have faith in ya! Take a stash with you, in case of emergency (gum, candy, a straw, an inpirational post to read in the bathroom if things get tough!) Keep in mind what you hated most about smoking, rememeber that nicotine is a pesticide in reality! Be strong! If you stay away from the booze you'll do great! Its when we let down our guard that the Junkie jumps in to bite us! I sending good vibes to help you! (Come post before & after too, if need be.) :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 340 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 8,500 Amount Saved: $3,587.00 Life Gained: Days: 44 Hrs: 15 Mins: 42 Seconds: 38
