Hey Terry! We are here, I guess it's just a Monday! I can't tell you when you should quit, but as someone who has been on and off lately, I can tell you that the most important thing you can do is make sure you have plans in place. Like today, one of my triggers is the ride home. But, I took deep breaths and just kept telling myself that it would pass and that I could do this. And I did! i've learned that if you really want to quit, you'll prepare yourself completely for every situation that will come up. For instance, I have jolly ranchers by my TV chair, gum in my purse, gum on my desk at work, sunflower seeds in my car, straws in my desk drawer, patches at home and at work. I just make sure that I don't have any excuses no matter where I'm at. So you might take some time to plant your rescue methods so that you don't get taken by surprise!! Because those triggers are out there and if you're not ready, they will get you!
I know this is a scary thing. It is a lifestyle change. But, you can do this! Just tell yourself, how much better you're going to feel, physically and mentally. You will gain a lot of confidence with every day that passes smoke free!
