Did this happen to anyone?

Thanks for the validation. So many times when I've reached this place in my previous quits I've said screw it. This time I'm going to give myself permission to feel whatever it is I am feeling and know that it will pass. I am feeling a little guilty about the way I seem to be ignoring people but it "is what it is" and when this passes I will make it up to them. (Not a lot of people know that I've quit. I didn't make a big announcement this time cause ... well, I could just see the eyes a-rolling!) Oh my gosh Faith, I forgot all about that. Yes..... I remember that totally. It will go away..... in the mean time... enjoy the quiet time. Not only does your body need to heal....but your brain does too. There is allot of brain chemistry off right now. Let things settle in. Make this time....ALL ABOUT YOU!! You deserve it! Reflect....and pamper.....and ...oh yes.....REWARD!! mercy My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 367 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 7,340 Amount Saved: $1,640.49 Life Gained: Days: 48 Hrs: 15 Mins: 36 Seconds: 55

Faith, yes that has happened to me last week. Felt down, just didn't want to be with anyone at all, didn't want to talk or anything, but i just kept coming here till it past. That feeling strikes for a small amount of time this week, but i try and make plans for each day to make myself do things and make myself talk to others, otherwise i might go crazy! Don't worry, this will pass just like all the other bad stuff! Heck, I've always been that way! ;) LOL Really, I wanted to hibernate, all by myself at about 3 to 4 weeks. I felt like by doing that I was avoiding any extra stress and protecting my quit. That feeling went away after a week or so. Take things slowly, for now and eventually, you'll get back to a normal life. Everything in moderation! Even a little "me time" won't hurt. :) G My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 186 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,580 Amount Saved: $892.80 Life Gained: Days: 19 Hrs: 4 Mins: 44 Seconds: 55

Faith, This usually occurs during the third week. May have come a little later for you. If that's what you need, then do it! This will pass and you'll go back to being able to stand people. Don't worry. Danielle, Bilingual Health Educator

What I've been finding the last week or so is that I really just want to be left alone. I can't be bothered with answering the phone ... I just let the machine pick up. I have no desire to see people. All I want to do is just hang out with my hubby (who is my quit buddy) and to heck with the rest of the world. Oh yeah, I'm also OK with the 2 year old I care for four days a week but that's it. I am feeling really blah and ambivilent. Did this happen to any of you guys?
