Did this happen to anyone?

It's funny, it was just starting to pass. (Just like everyone said it would!) I was feeling a little more willing to engage and then today I went down a level on the patch. I can feel hibernation and crankiness setting in all over again! I'm OK with it though cause I have the experience of it starting to pass. After these 2 weeks on Step Two, I'll drop down one more time and then I'll be free. Take care everyone! Faith, I have to admit I felt like that last evening. Our dart night was cancelled due to the snowstorm. I wasn't sorry one bit. I more than happy to spend the evening with hubby just lounging around watching TV. If its what you need right now, then go for it. Windy is right!!! There is a period where I did not want to socialize with anyone!!! I associated talking on the phone with running outside and smoking a pack of smokes in the process...Then once I quit, I felt like I wanted to be blunt and not sugar coat anythong I had to say. It is almost like my smoking created a "smoke screen"... I am getting to the point now where I am enjoying talking on the phone..Hope that helps... Me too! I've been there for sure (and I don't think that I did answer the phone) Now I like to call people on Sunday mornings when I'm drinking my coffee....I still don't much like the phone after a long day of work. By the way .... it is a phase though....You will feel like socializing again...honest! Yes it happens to everyone, we all have our days! Think about all those non-smokers (that's you now :) )that make it through the bitter trials of life and come out on top. Smoking will not change the way you feel or how you deal with things. Be grateful for being strong enough to quit and give your body the well deserved healing time that it needs...things do get better! I can't say 100% that quitting has been the only thing that has completely changed my life....but I will say that it has been one of the most important to my health and general well being. I feel on top of the world and soon you will too! Don't worry about how you are acting or reacting (I was extremely miserable during the first month or so of my quit :( ) but it does get better, and there is a huge pot with your name on it under the rainbow! Take care, My Milage: My Quit Date: 11/12/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 73 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,095 Amount Saved: $912.50 Life Gained: Days: 5 Hrs: 3 Mins: 15 Seconds: 57

I think that's part of the paralyzed phase. Which I feel already. It's like you're just there. Somewhere?? I'm sure it will pass, just give your body what it wants...rest and healing. I feel like this everyday, aint nothing wrong with it :). There's alot of lazy people out there, always wanting something for nothing, nothing better to do than moan & tell you all about there problems & life stories. Keep it simple - take your time & spend some quality time with your quit buddy. Cigarettes Not Smoked

I have felt like that when I was smoking and when I quit. I think alot of people feel something and blame it on not smoking. Kind of like when people say they are moody now. Isn't everyone moody at some point in their life??? Maybe you feel this way because it is winter and we all get the cabin fever blahs. Who knows. Just ride out your mood with the new improved you! Faith, Keep the faith... This is my 3rd quit in 12 months & i did not tell anyone about this one. I have wanted to keep to myself more, I guess to just protect my quit!!! I want this to be my last quit... You do just whatever.......you need to do, to keep this quit!! Everyone else can just take a number.. Sounds a little self-centered! It is!!! I hear you!! I had quit so many times I truly don't even have a count. I quit on the quiet side too. This quit was different. It really was about me.....and not so much that I SHOULD QUIT....but that I WANTED TO QUIT. I have a saying.... "you don't GOT to quit....you GET to quit" I did learn lots of things from my past failures and I made those past failures constructive. They led me to this final quit. Infact...I don't even like to say quit....but life style change. Infact... my quit date had been Feburary 1st last year...and for some reason on Sunday January 21st I had this overwhelming feeling that said....."NOW" Your gonna make it Faith.....I got real good vibes about you. Hang in there and vent and stay close to this site.
