Anyone tried 'Curves'

16 years ago 0 48 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
I joined Curves several years ago and did the workouts religiously and ended up losing 12 pounds and 12 inches. It works if you keep it up. However, I developed arthritis in my foot and had to stop. Tresa said it perfectly, "whatever motivates us". Hope no one thought I was knocking curves. I acually did it for a year and it kept me healthy. Have fun whatever you choose, but you probably chose already. That posting I just noticed was from January LOL!! I am new at support groups online. I will check the date next time before I post. Oh well onto another topic ;p My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/24/2008 Smoke-Free Days: 5 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 90 Amount Saved: $18.45 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 10 Mins: 56 Seconds: 35

I tried curves bout 3 years ago. Not real enthused with the ciciut training. BUT.......a year and a half ago, I found whats called Jazzercise. Total fun. Its like your dancing and working out at the same time. Ages that go are from 20 to 60. Look it up online. All you have to type in is Jazzercise and find one in your area. Just a thought. I joined Curves a couple of years ago...it's a really good program, and it's true, the workout is all laid out and easy to follow. The staff are friendly and used to play trivia games with those of us who were there. Sadly, I couldn't keep up my commitment and back slid until I had paid for something like 5 months that I didn't go even once. My bad. It's really a good workout, the main thing is commitment. Since I do shift work, I was coming in at all sorts of crazy hours and so didn't get to really click with any of the regulars. I really think I should have stuck to it, because now I'm 30lbs heavier than I was back then.
