Rewards happen with every breath you take. Smoking can take that away. I'm glad you guys are choosing plants and beans.

That's a good one, Jazz. Good for you for thinking of it. I know jdk had some sunflowers growing as rewards that he named after fellow quitters. Of course I was a bit traumatized when he yanked them out last fall. and Bear planted a rose bush for a reward last spring. Hmmm...a bit of trivia...does anyone remember that plant's name?
What do you and hubby have planned for the weekend...other than avoiding closed in spaces? ;)

Hi Jazz,
That is a great reward. LOL at hubby's choice :confuse: You gotta love him! Rewards do not have to cost loads of $$. Just make sure you keep it up, they really do help. My favorite reward was yummy scented bath salts and bubble baths. I spent my first few months in the tub. I figure it would help me stay smoke free and hey, you never see fish smoke! ;)
congrats on your 8 days, you are doing great!
G :)

Hey - you guys are right - rewards are important.
At the grocery store yesterday, I saw a quite little potted flower for $3.00. I couldn't resist. I call it Tippy because it fell off the seat of the truck on the way home! (go figure). It's a perfect reward for me - everytime I look at it, it reminds me of my quit, and if I was still smoking in the house, it would shrivel up and die, just like hubby and I would if we were still smoking! A cheap but constant reminder of the great decision we made to quit.
Hubby, on the other hand, picked a strange reward, considering the gas issue he's been dealing with. Pork and beans - 3 big cans of them! I guess his reward will be a constant reminder as well - ewwwww! I thought you guys said his taste would improve with the quit! LOL
