Hello again Needtoquit. You're doing a very important exercise right now, noting when you smoke and why (triggers). Idle hands are your enemy more often than not. Boredom is an excellent trigger for a smoke, as if the addiction wasn't bad enough. We often use smoking as a way to fill in the empty bits between the active bits of our day, a sort of space filler. While you were busy shopping you could easily avoid smoking. This information is worth a pound of gold. What other times are you most likely to smoke or want to smoke. Try putting off that routine smoke, delay it or change it in some way. Learn where your real challenges will be. Take your time, prepare and plan this out. Thank you for all the welcomes I am going to look around the site now as I have free time now my mom was here with us since November 17th she went home today. we were out alot while she was here. so now I can focus on myself here awhile. I notice the past week as I was out often with my mom shopping and stuff. I went during the day without smoking for 4 to 5 hours , but as soon as I got home, I would sit and smoke. Have a good night

Hi I smoked for over 50 years and I quit.Lots of people here have tried before and failed we call them practise rounds for the real thing.Don't concern yourself with the past or the future this is a minute by minute deal. The other part of this is that smoking is adding to your stress believe me.So stay with us we will get you where you want to be and thats nicotine free.Visit the site often ask lots of questions and do a lot of reading. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/20/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 238 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,284 Amount Saved: $2,380.00 Life Gained: Days: 54 Hrs: 11 Mins: 13 Seconds: 0
