If you think you may need to stop taking Zoloft in a few months, you should definately talk to your doctor about it. Zoloft takes a couple weeks to start working and may take a month or more to work fully. Also, I will mention that I started off on 50 mg of Zoloft and that was too strong to start. Per dr's ok, I went to 25 mg and gradually increased over a 6 week period to where I am now -100mg.
It really has helped me but it's not for everyone. My husband took the Lorazapem for a week (after some surgery complications to calm him) and he did fine with it.
I take clonazapem (Klonopin) and find it very helpful. Everyone person reacts different to medications. Definately talk with your dr. about what is right for you and your circumstances.
I went to see an M.D. today, and she prescribed me with Lorazepam (.5mg) and Zoloft (50 mg). I guess, I don't quite know what I'm looking for from you guys, but what do you think about this? Do any of y'all take these drugs? How are they working?
Also, I'm wondering if maybe Zoloft isn't such a good idea for me. Due to life circumstances, there's a good possibility I'm going to have to stop treatment in a few months...maybe we need to try another route to make this better? What do you guys think?
Thank you,
U.
