Yes, revel, You have to do something different. Pamper yourself in some way. Mix it up a bit, take a nice long shower or bath, pop in a dvd, rub lotion on yourself, smell it..lol...i realize that if you're a guy you might feel a bit funny doing this, but it really is alright. And remember, this is a very very good thing you're doing for yourself. If you smoke you will continue craving. The only way to stop the craving is to stop smoking. Really. Hang in, Revel. It does get better. Try taking a bath, taking a walk, anything to distract. And, of course, whatever coping strategies you have planned. Cold water, deep breathing, hard candies, mints, whatever. If you can, just go to bed. And don't forget to be proud of yourself when you wake up in the morning, still a non-smoker. You can do it, the first few days are the hardest, and it's so worth it. Tomorrow will be better Revel. I remember having a few bad days, and I always went to bed early, thinking just that and it always was better the next day! So keep your chin up! The first three days are the worst, if you can hang on thru that, you can do this! Remember, Smoking is not an option! NOPE! Reading lots here and posting always helped too! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 256 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,400 Amount Saved: $2,700.80 Life Gained: Days: 31 Hrs: 8 Mins: 21 Seconds: 46
