You know, I never really was a dog person until I met Ruby. Saying that, I didn't dislike dogs but, if pushed, I would have said I preferred cats. The first time I met Ruby she jumped up so high, she was able to lick me on my mouth ... bluurrgh (it's a staffie thing). She is so joyful and loves nothing more than a stick or a ball - if only people were so un-self conscious and accepting. It looks like your dog enjoys her toys too!
You might laugh at me but The Dog Whisperer is one of my favourite tv programmes. I think Cesar Milan rocks! And I have used his technique of "calm assertive energy" in my quit. It sounds a bit weird but when I get to that nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh stage when you feel like you're going mad, I just take some deep breaths and think calm assertive energy. Hmmm, I do sound mad. Anyway, it works for me.
Enjoy your day - I am off to the dentist (blurgh again). Then I am going to treat myself to some me time. It is a beautiful sunny day here in NZ, I live near the beach and I am going to sit on the white sands and watch the waves for a while.
