Smoking Dreams again

I dreamed last night about grapes, a full counter of them in my kitchen, the biggest, greenest grapes I have ever seen.......I literally woke up this morning craving grapes!!! And I still want them! HA!! Guess I'm going to have to go get some! I can still close my eyes and picture these grapes, they were just gorgeous! Makes me feel so silly too! :p My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/23/2007 Smoke-Free Days: -3 Cigarettes Not Smoked: -75 Amount Saved: $-11.25 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 0 Mins: 0 Seconds: -18214

Most quitters have dreams related to smoking when they first quit, especially when they are taking Chantix. As you can see with Blue Cloud, the dreams will fade with time. Congratulations Blue Cloud on reaching "the beach". Danielle, Bilingual Support Specialist

That's great. I've had two scary smoking dreams so far. (I'm on Chantix - so not only do I remember all of them, but I wake up and have to convince myself that they didn't happen). In both I was chain smoking, and it wasn't until I lit the second one that I realized I had quit and was ruining my quit and would have to go back to the beginning. It's almost as if it was "oops, I forgot". It made me feel so ****ty. It took a couple hours the next morning to remind myself that no, this didn't actually happen and that I'm on the right path. How great that your conscious mind told your subconscious mind to lose that cigarette in your dream - looking forward to that day myself. I am just past the 100 day milestone and the thoughts have been more than they were before I reached 'the beach'. Last night I had another dream that I was smoking. This is the second dream like this I have had. The first one was early in my quit. I was trying to say I don't smoke and looked down and there was a cigarette in my hand, only last night when I looked back the second time it was gone. I became a non smoker even in the dream. Isn't that a great sign as to just how far I have come? I still consider myself a newbie and for all you out there newer than me. I am here to say it does get better. Even in your dreams!!
