I felt like a nonsmoker at about two mo. was offered a cig. and just came out no thanks and felt so good. BUT I still do have cravings, still feel out of sorts at times, have flash backs when certian situations come up but I still feel like a nonsmoker, I will be so glad when there are no more triggers to overcome, but then again it may never happen for me, but that is ok if it doesn't, although I do wish the miracle would happen like it has you. you are so fortunate, to have the full pease. Isn't it great to be nonsmokers!!!!!! YES!my husband feels like you do, he quit 37 years ago but it took him 10 years to feel like that. he also did not smoke 50 years like I did. Congrates to you, soooo happy for you. hugs, prayers, pixie dust Bobbi My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/27/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 208 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,240 Amount Saved: $520.00 Life Gained: Days: 30 Hrs: 10 Mins: 30 Seconds: 32

Lookin' good, Traci. Isn't that a wonderful thing to realize? Really, I have felt like a non-smoker for almost all of this quit but that MOMENT was about a month ago I think. I had a very infuriating thing happen at work & I was shaking & almost speechless with anger & frustration. A well-meaning friend offered me a smoke & I didn't even think for a second. I said, "No, I don't smoke." in a tone that suggested he was crazy for even offering. I don't remember when it was exactly but I posted about it. I was absolutely thrilled. Hey Traci! I think I felt that I was a non smoker when I realized that I could never go back, at about two weeks, but I didn't have the confidence to believe in it until about 90 days! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 229 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,725 Amount Saved: $2,415.95 Life Gained: Days: 28 Hrs: 1 Mins: 16 Seconds: 47

You are doing great IMA and what an encouraging post! I think it was between 2-3 months for me. Lots of emotional stuff in the beginning but I knew I'd never go back. It's that positive attitude that will get you through the surprise triggers that come with the different times of year. Glad to hear life has quieted for the moment :) All the best My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/5/2004 Smoke-Free Days: 1171 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 23,420 Amount Saved: $5,269.50 Life Gained: Days: 89 Hrs: 10 Mins: 9 Seconds: 45

Traci! So good to have you back. Great news about your SIL, I am happy for you all! :) I'm with Aloha on this one except I still feel like I'm quitting not necessarily a non-smoker yet. Not a smoker either, though. Well, maybe a little. Still, decided I was going to quit. Quit. Haven't entertained the thought of smoking at all. Definitely feel a little pulled in that direction some times but not enough to consider it. I'm happy for you and am looking forward to feeling like you do now. :) Aloha - who is that cute little kiddo? Traci Great to see you back!!! And so glad to hear the SIL is on his road to recovery. Yeah, doesn't it feel great to not be a slave to smoking anymore? I don't have an answer to your question. Once I made up my mind to not smoke anymore, I didn't, not once. But, sometimes I am tugged in that direction still. Not that I want to smoke, but I have that pull. Anyways, I am so happy to hear how well everything is going for you!
