So its Friday night - after a month in family crisis, tonight I fixed a wonderful dinner (puff pastry salmon with pesto) with a great wine from the Napa trip and the air is crisp and clean. I am sitting here checking out posts, adding my two cents where need be and I just realized I am truly happy. Not just content, but truly happy. I have NO monkeys on my back for the first time in 22 years and I truly feel to the depths of my soul that I am a non-smoker. I've known it for a while and written the words proudly and with passion, but tonight I REALLY know it.
So my question for the few hanging out tonight - when did you KNOW you were a non-smoker and when did it feel right? My turning point tonight --- when I finished eating that wonderful dinner and DH and I sat on the porch drinking wine and I realized I didn't even want an after dinner smoke - not even a smidge of a craving.
