Wornout, Thank you for sharing with us. Wrestler is correct, everyone is different. Please feel free to roam the site at your own pace. If you look to the left of the screen under "TOOLS" you will find many supportive tests. These tests are not diagnostic tools and are not a replacement or substitute for a physicians advice. The purpose of these tests is to prepare you with information that you can present to your physician. When youre finished the test, you can either print your Final Report or email it directly to your doctor. This will help better assess the situation for both of you. We also have developed a Panic Program. This program is 12-weeks and involves the tools mentioned above. Each session is based on the previous session, so we strongly advise that you work slowly through the program and not jump ahead. If you have any questions or concerns with our "TOOLS" you can contact our support department at support@paniccenter.net. Post often, we are hear to help and most of all: listen. Josie

Hi Wornout, You're not alone. I have had times where I have felt like this and still do on occasion. I find that my anxiety level increases and decreases at certain times and it's hard to predict when. I am not a professional, but if you have not yet done so, seek some sort of professional help for this. There are many ways you can help yourself in being helped by others. I have tried many things and now treat mine naturally with a lot of suppliments proper diet, exercise and the occassional valium. But that is just me. We are all different. Hi, I am new and never joined any kind of chat. I am suffering with being in a constant state of anxiety. I get so upset, my heart races all the time, I shake, and constantly think something is really bad wrong with me. My doctors say I am very healthy. My mind never turns off and I am soo tired. I feel like my nerves are shot. I feel like I am having an unending panic attack. Does anyone else ever feel this way?

I was on meds of one kind or another between 1985 and 2004. I tried a few times to get off them, but always had to go back. I got off prozac last July (2003). That was actually easier than I thought. I have been using natural methods and they have been working. I tried twice this year to get off my anti pshycotic med, but met trouble, so I slowly went back up the dosage and then went down again and now I am off it. But some symptoms have returned. Trouble, we have had 3 hurricanes come through my area this year, so I do not know what the causes of my latest round of anxiety troubles is caused by. I am thinking a combination of both. So, with my therapist guiding me, I am giving it time to ease. I have the valium if need be. I use the generic version. I am wondering if I should switch back to the real valium. Also know how you feel. Before starting my first "med" I had constant increasing anxiety. Chest pains, dizziness, and a feeling that I wasn't all there. Very irritable, lack of concentration, andalways felt keyed up. Been on a med for 5 weeks now, my closest friends keep telling me I'm back to my old self. You can get through this!

Hi Amy, I know exactly what you are saying, I think I could deal with the occasional panic attack, but I cannot deal with the constant ****py way I feel in between, I am always dizzy, lightheaded and nervous as well as lethargic and upset. I have been so afraid of meds, but it looks like I'm reaching the end of my rope with this and it causes my panic to become more frequent. I am mostly afraid the side effects of meds will make me more dizzy and lethargic but it sounds like they helped for everyone else.

Yes. I have it, but not constant. Lately I have had good days and bad days. I am off meds comletely now except for valium, which I really should take more often. I was on 4/25 of triavil. about 1/4 of an actual clinical dose. My worst problem now is anxiety and fear of a panic attack. I think we all know how that feels. I had an axiety attack last Thurs (short one) and Saturday afternoon and night (longer ones). I hve been OK since, but the residual anxiety (as I am sure you all know too well) is hanging around. I took two valerian today. I am gonna do a valium at bedtime. It really takes the edge off. My workout helped today, but I still had the headache during it that usually follows anxiety attacks. I also have OCD. Song stuck in my head. LOL. I hate that. I am gonna try and replace it with another song until I get sick of that one. I had the song stuck in my head deal often all through high school and thought it was just normal. I am gonna do an hour of cardio tomorrow to stem this some. 1/2 hour on the stairs and 1/2 on the bike. Wishing you all well, David

Amy. I know exactly how you feel. After I made this major life move, sold house, left safe area, and moved into a large city, I could not stop the anxiety. I had panic attack after panic attack, to where I could not tell which was an attack, or just total panic. I even went to the ER, and begged for help (alot a good that did) They just doped me up with more Xanax, and sent me home. But after seeing a Psychiatrist, she convinced me to take Meds, and more Xanax, and I finally calmed down. After being so anxious for like six months, I truly thought I was going to die. I didn't have an entire nites sleep that whole time, and my mind just looped over and over again with worries, and fear. I have to say I can tell the difference with the meds. Go see a doctor, get some help, it's is a horrible feeling to be like that. I went into depression because I was so anxious, I wish I had begged for help sooner, and could have gotten it sooner. Amy, Before taking medicine that's how I felt ALL the TIME in between each panic attack. It was like my nerves were never calmed and I was on the verge of panic 24/7. Once I started taking medicine it began to ease up and after 4 weeks is now completely gone. Hopefully it will ease up for you as well. :)

Does anyone else have constant anxiety?? I feel on edge all the time. I either have a headache or I'm dizzy most of the time. I'll have heartburn or feel out of sorts. Does anyone else know what I mean?? I have had a lot of panic attacks and this is different.
