Hey Exena, Lots of people had stuffed sinuses but I don't recall anyone with eye problems, you might need to check with you Doc. Hang in there, you are doing well! The first three days the nicotine is out of your system, but then you have the mental battle, and it feels like a battle because you are fighting off the urge to smoke. It takes a little time, and it does make you exhausted, but each day it gets a bit better and soon you will be sailing along. So ofight hard and keep that thought in mind, a month from now you will be so glad you did! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 219 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 5,475 Amount Saved: $2,310.45 Life Gained: Days: 26 Hrs: 20 Mins: 1 Seconds: 12

Xena, Congrats.. almost past HELL week!!! Everything after this week seems so much easier. My favorite time of day is when I go to bed at night as a non smoker!!! You may want to have that eye infection looked at. Our immune systems is at an all time low when we quit, so you may have picked something up... Good luck.. read, post, read some more My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/25/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 46 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 920 Amount Saved: $138.00 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 23 Mins: 18 Seconds: 56

LOL Kelly... yeah I;ve thought of getting duct tape too! Including on e for the phone! Tresa, I'm trying to chill... just get through some panicky periods. Thin i waited too long before I put on my patch this morning. Which makes me wonder if tonight I'll just keep it on. Thanks Margo. Marie I'd forgotten the this was "Hell week"... guess it's called that for a reason!SAo does the mean heck week is easier? Lottalifeleft, glad you're back. Thanks for sharing. Let's do it together. We're about a day apart. Lady, LOL. I actually did the breathing reading your post...and it helped! JUst want to get his over with. Temptation is everywhere! But I didn't buy any. I again tonight thought of going out and getting some but didn't. Guess it's good in a way as they will always be out there, and it will be up to me to say no. Thanks Unhooked. See you in the treehouse! I want Harleys there too OK? Thanks Lizzie. Is heck week different? Can't remember. Just seem to go through moments... sometimes just 10 minutes when the urge is strong. Then I'm Ok again. Thanks Josie. Seems so long since I've pampered myself. So far the amount I've saved on smokes I've spent on patches... so not so much money saved yet. But I do feel like taking a day off to watch a good movie and have a nice bubble bath. just want to ask if anyone fot an eye infection... not sure that's what it is yet but half my face is swollen... and wonder if it has anything to do with quitting. Thank you again, Xena My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/6/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 4 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 80 Amount Saved: $30.40 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 10 Mins: 58 Seconds: 50

Hi Xena - Quitting is hard work, isn't it? I know what you mean about being angry. It sucks what we have to go through to come off of a totally legal, common consumer product. Be mad if you want. Be so mad that you are no way, no how going to let those you know what's get any more of your health, money and life. One of the things I noticed right away...my first few days even...was that I didn't have the same kind of reactions to stress that I did when I smoked. For example: I was so mad at my kid (14 year old boy who knows everything at times) one night I wanted to duct tape his mouth shut. I had to walk away to avoid loosing it completely. I walked into my bedroom which I always do when I get overly upset and need to take a break and I didn't smoke. I calmed down much faster and I let it go much easier. Wierd! I noticed it right away. When we got stressed we smoked to relax. Now we don't smoke so we just relax. It gets easier. It is a dramatic and noticable difference every day for the first week at least. You are doing great. Keep it up! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/25/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 46 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,380 Amount Saved: $269.10 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 3 Mins: 51 Seconds: 10

Xena When I listened to the junkie last friday. That who cares, 1 or 2 will be okay the junkie lied. well after 3 packs I felt like crap. That feeling was worse than any stress I have had. For one I knew I had to admit that I failed again in order to start fresh. (I do this for me)I don't want to be a stinky unhealthy smoker that is why I am here. So a week later a started my quit again. I smoked fri sat, fri 60 cigarettes just to start over. I would rather just stay..... Hang in there WE can do this...
