hi denzil, good job on not smoking. I just heard a medical report about coffee. Seems it is not really bad for us. (I knew it could not be that bad. It growns in nature???). But, anyway, all the studies on coffee did not take into consideration the other life style factors of the coffee drinkers...like smoking. so, now, they are saying coffee has some good antioxidants...so, I say, drink away..just don't smoke! new me My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/26/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 114 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,736 Amount Saved: $570.00 Life Gained: Days: 15 Hrs: 18 Mins: 7 Seconds: 26

Thanks for the post ex roller. I can continue my quit and use the knowledge you are sharing. Grea idea focus on the trigger that tortures me. Morning is the wost still and I seem to try to douse the urge by drinking coffee which I know is not a good idea. We are getting by this by substituting oj seems to help. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/20/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 240 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,800 Amount Saved: $2,340.00 Life Gained: Days: 43 Hrs: 3 Mins: 6 Seconds: 20

Denzil I think you are an absolute star! You have made it to 3/4 of a year, so only 1/4 left to complete the whole year! You know you can do this - maybe there are more triggers for you this time of the year?...but it only takes going through the association once without a smoke to free that situation so it's no longer a trigger. Maybe focus your quit in those siutations into bite-size chunks - ie when a trigger happens, focus on getting through that situation and nothing else till you're through it - don't think about how you're not gonna smoke tomorrow or even later today...just deal with the immediate - till you feel stronger again. You can do this - you have proven you can do it - and you can always come in here for a bit of support when you need it. Wanted to touch base with you folks. I'm still smoke free and doing my best to stay that way. Funny it doesn't feel like before I still have a lot of strong urges. I try to keep occupied and drink lots of water but I seem tired a lot. Been to the Doc and he says I'm doing alright sinuses are still screwing up with my allergies. But all and all we are on the mend. Head aches are another factor I'm dealing with but nothing I can't handle. My best to all of you and thanks again for your support you were there when I needed you and I appreciate that. I'll be more than happy to return the favor when ever I'm needed. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/20/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 239 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,780 Amount Saved: $2,330.25 Life Gained: Days: 43 Hrs: 1 Mins: 12 Seconds: 16

Denzil, What is causing this? Did something trigger these feelings and emotions? Step back and remove yourself from the situation! Take a long shower and wash it away, talk a walk and walk it away, or even clean a room in the house to occupy you. Learn from this and recognize what the trigger was. The nicodemon is trying to tempt you one last time, kick it to the curb and keep walking :) Josie, Support Specialist
