Tenacity

I think perhaps we have more "tenacity" than we ever knew we had! Let's keep up the good fight! Yes, I have tenacity, by the bucketful. What I don't always have is patience and an even temper. Luckily, there are people here who do have that & don't mind if I use theirs sometimes! Just like I don't mind if someone else needs a little tenacity sent their way. That's part of the beauty of this group. There is always someone who is strong where you are weak, and lots of chances to lend strength to someone else, too. Well of course I agree with you all the way on this. Tenacity, stubborness, steadfastness, persistance, determination, commitment. Yep, all those things, and one more.................DESIRE TO BE FREE! Great post, girlfriend. Man I thinks you've got it!!!!! Tenacity that is what Sticken said I had. Kind of cool I think. I am writing this because there are some of you who are just beginning this journey, some who are struggling, some who are doing what needs to done to stay quit. I wish I could tell you how many time I have quit, but I have lost track. I found this site a year ago last May. I cannot begin to tell you what SSC means to me. I was searching for something, support, answers, and easy fix to quit, just something. I have to tell you each time I quit I meant it. This was it no more smoking for me. Well that did not turn out to be so. Many times I would smoke and come back here saying this is it and get more support than I deserved. Then I would smoke again. This went on until April 30th of this year. I am now quit, just for today. I looked up the word for tenacity. I found a few words that would describe me like, stubbornness. Anyone who knows me would agree that I am indeed very stubborn. Then there was persistence. I think we all need that everyday in order to stay quit and to help others. Determination, oh yes, I was and am determined to stay quit. I have something to prove and gain for me by staying smoke free. Then there is steadfastness. I like that word. I am committed to this quit and I recommit every morning I wake up. So does Sparky have tenacity, you bet? Do others here have tenacity? I will let you answer that one.
