Tenacity that is what Sticken said I had. Kind of cool I think. I am writing this because there are some of you who are just beginning this journey, some who are struggling, some who are doing what needs to done to stay quit.
I wish I could tell you how many time I have quit, but I have lost track. I found this site a year ago last May. I cannot begin to tell you what SSC means to me. I was searching for something, support, answers, and easy fix to quit, just something.
I have to tell you each time I quit I meant it. This was it no more smoking for me. Well that did not turn out to be so. Many times I would smoke and come back here saying this is it and get more support than I deserved. Then I would smoke again. This went on until April 30th of this year. I am now quit, just for today.
I looked up the word for tenacity. I found a few words that would describe me like, stubbornness. Anyone who knows me would agree that I am indeed very stubborn. Then there was persistence. I think we all need that everyday in order to stay quit and to help others. Determination, oh yes, I was and am determined to stay quit. I have something to prove and gain for me by staying smoke free. Then there is steadfastness. I like that word. I am committed to this quit and I recommit every morning I wake up.
So does Sparky have tenacity, you bet? Do others here have tenacity? I will let you answer that one.
