Danno Sorry to hear this. I know she will be missed. Just remember, a smoke will not help anything. Hello all! Hectic here. Both Grandparents are doing really bad health-wise. We live about two hours away from them so it's hard running back and forth. How is everyone else doing? Great I hope!? I'll try to get caught-up on the thread! LOL! For halloween, i'll probably do my standard Grim Reaper gig. I have the robe, hood, face-fitting mask, ect. Yeah, the smoking dreams suk! LOL! I'll have a cig in my hand in the dream and think to myself, what in the world are you doing??! Then I wake up guilty til I realize it was a dream. I REALLY hate it when in the dream I drop the cigarette and wake up thinking I have a lit smoke in my bed and start tearing it up looking for it! Hey Keliza! Same to you girl! We're almost a month in. WOOHOO! Lets face it....we rock! LOL! Hello yates. Welcome to the site. Congrats on your decision to quit. Stick close to this site and the people on it. They were a Godsend to me, and can help you as well! OK! Am I caught up yet?? LOL! i'll be back later today! It works however you would like it to and whatever way is most helpful to you quitting. I think of this place as --> education and support. Read everything you can and then post. Post about how you're doing. Post your recommittment for a day or a weekend to stay smoke-free. But ESPECIALLY post when you're about to break-down and give up and have a cigarette. I have especially found it helpful to read comments and stories from people who are further down the road than I am -- how they are feeling at 30 days...75 days...100 days. It's extremely encouraging to hear from people who have stuck with it and the changes they are experiencing in their lives. I need to read the postings that say it does get better -- sometimes I need to read those postings over and over!! Most likely if there's something that you're dealing with or have a question about, there's someone here who has already addressed that situation in their own lives. You'll find this a valuable and supportive resource if you use it. Welcome! Ever woken up from a smoking dream tasting and smelling the cigarette? That's happened to me a couple times and is very disturbing. I think it just means my subconscious wants a cigarette. Duh! :) Yes, Aloha, same friends. I'm sure they would all be very supportive (with the exception of that one person) and wouldn't knowingly make it more difficult but, I don't trust myself if I am drinking yet. Actually, I wonder if it wouldn't be harder for me today than it was that first week. Danno - I wasn't trying to discourage you from any Halloween festivities you have planned. I hope you didn't take it that way. Party on, my friend! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/25/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 49 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,470 Amount Saved: $286.65 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 10 Mins: 36 Seconds: 13
