Mister Ed that's it! You've solved it. And if I make a Koozy with a 5 lb weight for my beer that should help build muscle mass too! Hooboy! Greger is in big trouble. Reverse the dos and don't on that list and you will have my lifestyle and diet. Truly a list for those who eat to live. Another list is needed for those of us who live to EAT! yes, i agree , it is shoking but like Rusty said, i think it is 30 minutes 3 times a week.. but another useful tip is to try and divide them , i mean do 20 minutes in the morning and 20 minutes in the evening three time a week is a perfect plan .. by this you increase your metabolism for longer times.. I'm thinking that MasterMind meant three times a week. That's what the Mayo Clinic says and lots of other websites. This is a great list, and definitely something to strive toward. Yay...I didn't see "no chocolate" on the list! Lainey, it doesn't take that long to cut up a head of broccoli or to break off asparagus tips to throw in the steamer. And if you buy lettuce in a bag and grape tomatoes -- instant salad! Thanks for the wonderful tips and please make sure you are checking with your doctor before beginning an eating plan. They know your body and can be of great assistance to you :) Great list! Josie, Support Specialist

I'm with Cindy, 90 minutes a day??? Thats not very realistic for those of us who work full time. And when do you find the time to prepare all this fresh fruit & veggies.....where I live nothing is cut up for you, so add at least two hours to your week to cut up enough fruit & veggies for the week. You must be a personal trainer MM, or something in that field??? :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 176 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,400 Amount Saved: $1,856.80 Life Gained: Days: 21 Hrs: 12 Mins: 23 Seconds: 4

Mastermind... That takes all the fun out of living! I quit smoking so I enjoy life now. Food is part of it LOL!!! Last week my doctor said to make changes you can live with. Like skipping that bowl of ice cream before bed, reducing portion size, cut out all sodas. These kind of changes are mild and the key is exercising. The weight will come off slowly and stay off. Seriously, thanks for the helpful tips. Ran into some useful advice and thought of sharing with u all.. List of Do's - Eat unlimited amounts of fresh vegetables per day. - Eat lots of fresh fruits each day, as snacks also, 3-5 servings per day (only one banana per day). - Eat skinless poultry and plenty of fish, but only prepared broiled, baked, boiled, grilled or steamed, no sauces or butter. Use herbs for seasoning. - Eat only whole grain carbs in the morning, whole grain muffins, bread, rice cakes, unsweetened cereal. In other words, "brown" not "white" rice and pasta and breads etc. - Drink lots of water every single day, at least 8 eight ounce glasses per day. Egg whites only, no yolks. Limit dairy, one or two dairy daily, low fat or fat free only. - Drink unsweetened fruit juice and unsweetened tea. Exercise regularly, at least 30 minutes, three times per day. - Stop eating two hours before you go to sleep P.S. : ELIMINATING SUGER Actually helps in your craving for sugar!! The more sugar you eat , the more you will need it to maintain your blood sugar level Here are your "Don'ts": -don't eat fat (no oils except a small amount of olive oil for cooking) -don't skip meals (when you do, your metabolism will actually slow down not speed up!!) -don't drink more than one cup of coffee per day -don't eat sugar of any kind! no sugar! -don't drink whole milk, drink skim -don't take alcohol -don't eat any creamed sauces or fried foods at all -don't drink sodas (not even diet) -don't use salt ( difficult and unnecessary in my opinion) My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/15/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 13 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 104 Amount Saved: $10.40 Life Gained: Days: 1 Hrs: 3 Mins: 9 Seconds: 54
