Thanks, everyone. I'm really trying to make this work. It's just
so overwhelming to think I'm 8 hours away from all my family
(who were my major support system). Everyday I feel a little
better. I'm trying to get back into my exercise routine and
eating better. I think once our place is set up and we aren't
tripping over boxes, that will help a lot too. I also have a
good friend from home that has lived here for about 7 years.
He and his wife have been a blessing. They're even having
a party for us next weekend to introduce us to their friends.
Hopefully, once I get to know some people, I'll feel much
more at home. Keep sending those positive thoughts. I need
'em! ;)!

Hi Katie,
I'm glad to hear that you made it safely. I was hoping that you would make it free of fear. I recently went on a road trip (Atlanta, Nashville) and found myself most of the time worrying when the next attack will happen. After I got home from my trip, I was mad at myself that I let my fear and thoughts keep me from having a good time. We all understand how you feel. Its really scary moving to a new place and also that your safe person not going to be there all the time while you adjust to your new surroundings. Just try to keep yourself busy. I like to s****book. I will be starting a very hard program at school august 23rd and I'm scared to death about it and wondering what will i do if I have an attack. Just feel comfort in knowing you have all of us to count on and if you ever need to talk. We all understand and I have faith that you will be ok.

Hi Katie it's good to hear that you made it safely.
I only wish you were feeling better.
My advise is to just get started on your life there ASAP. Go shopping, talk to people, try to learn your way around..etc. I would also check to see if there is some kind of local support group or something to offer to us with panic.
Thats just my opinion but I think getting of the house & getting formiliar with your new area might be good for you. (I find that sitting home alone sometimes gives me way too much "thinking time".)
Are you there to live permantly??
I hope things go well for you there & I hope to hear from you soon.

Just wanted to let everyone know we made it to Nashville. It
was a rough trip for me, mentally. I was way more anxious
than I thought I would be. I actually feel like I'm reverting
back to my old panicky self. I've been trying to fight it every
day, but , so far, it hasn't been to good. I'm so scared of my
husband starting school and me being alone all day. Thanks
to everyone for the good wishes from my last post. We just
got our computer set up today, so I couldn't wait to get back to
the site and to people who understand how I feel, Hope
everyone else is well. This site and the people on it are such
a comfort to me. Thank you all for listening.
Katie
