Congratulations Jessica on completing day one. That first week is the hardest week of the quit. They don't call it hell week for nothing. Quitting isn't easy but it is doable. Just keep hanging on and don't let go. Take it five minutes at a time if that is what you have to do. The only thing that matters is that you don't smoke. Each crave you get past makes you that much stronger for the next. Take some really deep breaths and drink plenty of ice water. It really does help. If I didn't know better I would think the dream was meant for me. Then again....perhaps I do know better. I tell myself everyday that I'm over 200 days quit. That translates as: 200 days doing the right thing. How dare my mind play games with me now. Hello my Lady, What a consquidence, I live in the foot hills of Oklahoma, I am so happy for You that Your life is coming together for you, You know, I really do think that after You quit smoking for several years, You get a entirely different perspective on the way You live today, at least, I feel this inside me, A lot of people will say that there quit smoking did not change them, They are not looking through my eyes, or feeling what I'm feeling, after 4 years without a cigerette, I lay down at night, and can't wait until I can see daylight through the curtains in the morning to start a new day, I could just kick myself though for spending 40 years smoking, when I could have been enjoying life more, Yes my Lady, You complete the cycle, Have You seen the Movie, ''Three Coins In A Fountain,'' Movie is filmed in Rome Italy, You see, You are the Third Coin, I have two other good Friends Who have quit smoking from Georgia, Leisa Lu, from Albany, Melanie from Athens, and now You from Northern, Georgia, I would love to get Your e-mail someday down the road, would like to ask You something, but if its meant to be, it will happen, Good luck to You my Lady in Your journey,, It sounds like a Beauty, Smokless In Aklahoma :) P,S, Did You have that pretty smile before You quit smoking, I bet not, But it shows now,!!! John W... I'm in Georgia my dear friend. Remember you had a friend close to me that you had contact me early in the quit. Someone that came on the site and posted to encourage me at your request. I'm still here and I'm still smoke free. I struggled so much that first year. I struggle no more. This dream was very unusual and I think it was something to encourage me to post to help someone other than myself. I love my smoke free life. I have recently left my home of the last 12 years and relocated. I started a new job, have a new home, a new love, and a new life. I don't smoke. I have left the dark cloud that use to follow me everywhere I went. I now live in the foothills of the mountains in Northern Georgia where there are absolutely breath taking views. I have often refered to my quit as being like climbing a mountain. How ironic that I have found peace in living on top of the mountains. I agree 100% with the determination, motivation, and the positive attitudes and perspectives that were drilled into my quit. These have become a part of everyday life for me. All par for the course in my new life. The freedom is so Awesome! It's hard to believe that it still keeps getting better and better. Good to talk to you again, Smokless in Oklahoma!
