Alohakeia, mercy, Birdcrazy (I'm a bird nerd too!) thank you so much! Aloh, I was convinced that each day I got behind me got me closer to my goal of being a non smoker. I watched the clock and counted the days. I called it the 'do whatever you have to do but JUST DON'T SMOKE this day' method. I slept alot and did have glasses of wine. My quit got started after a doc scared me sh*tless. He told me the ONLY cure to the sore (pre cancer) that was in my mouth was to not smoke. I believed him and I will thank him forevermore. It was a hard and scared quit but I put in the time and now I am released. I lost that little bit of weight and never felt so good and healthy. Luna and Penitent, I love it when you two come out to play. You've been so loyal and kind to me and I thank you so much. Luna, thank you for forgiving me for flirting with your man all that time ago. My husband has forgiven me too although at the time he said "Now I'm going to have to kill him!". Just kidding y'all. I just couldn't resist.... ;) Have you actually started your life together? I wish you the very best and happiest of lives. Come and see me down here sometime. Athens is a cool place with lots of music. Thank you so much everybody. It was worth every single broken dish. You should be so very proud of yourself � I know that I am proud of you! And many thanks for being there. Your guidance early on was like gold dust to me. I know I ran riot during those early weeks but your caring restraint and advice was delivered in such an endearing way that you were the one person that I would listen to and I am so glad that I did. You worked your magic and I was transfixed. Now, 3 years on and with smoking a distant memory, I know that you are out there and that brings warmth to my heart and a smile to my face. As luna and I set about our smokefree future together we will always remember the fun and laughter that surrounded the early days of our quits and what a great help and a special friend you were to us both - we will always have a soft spot and gratitude for our Melanie of Georgia!!
