Hi Nance, yes I feel slightly better than yesterday thanks. The promise helps keep me quit. You guessed that I am normally a man of my word. I will let you know how I get on tomorrow. I shall celebrate tonight making it through hell week without resorting to smoking. Kev, You sound great and very upbeat today! Thanks for the promise of not smoking, just for today. We'll think about tomorrow when tomorrow comes. I'm still hanging in there with you! Hi Gen, I used to smoke Royals Superkings, quite cheap, around 4.20 compared to all those smoking Marlboro etc. The only one to give you 19 in a pub machine pack (instead of 16). 5.60 per pack in my local pub. 5x5.60 on Friday and same again on Saturday. Note I have not been back to my local. I learnt from my last quit that it is not a good idea so early. But I have been 'childminded' in a pub this week ( to cheer me up). Basically if I touched the cigaretee machines, they would grab me and remove me from the building :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 7/12/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 7 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 175 Amount Saved: 29.40 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 22 Mins: 6 Seconds: 54

How come you've only saved 29.40? (175 cigarettes = 9 packets) What did you used to smoke? Still. Every penny counts. Let's get it up to 40 and then you can go on a mad spending spree. Well, Hell week over, heck week starting. I don't really feel much better today, but am just counting the minutes and deep breathing. Last night I watched Susan Polgar 'Me and my genius brain' which is actually quite cheery. I did the right thing, told my parents the true state of play. Am actually going to visit a doctor tomorrow if I can get in. I will explain in simple non-biased terms and see what happens. I guess you probably can't go more professional than a medical professional. So I will take any advice he or she gives and act on it accordingly. This is where I curse my inability to swallow tablets. To be honest I am slightly better than yesterday! Confession here saved my quit on more than one occasion now.
