He suggested that I do go to the pub as getting my social life back will help a great deal. This one I am not so sure about. Maybe 1hr max tomorrow. LISTEN TO YOURSELF :) IF YOU'RE NOT SURE THEN DON'T DO IT, IT'S THAT SIMPLE.
I will be going to the pub as advised today.
Normally this ends my quit within minutes (SO WHY ARE U TAKING THE CHANCE AGAIN? DOING THE SAME THING OVER & OVER & EXPECTING DIFFERENT RESULTS EQUALS INSANITY & ADDICTION IS INSANE & CHAOTIC), so I have made preparations. I phoned the barstaff last night to let them know that I will be on day 10 not smoking on Saturday (today) and that I may not stay that long. I plan to spend no more than 2hrs (YOU WENT FROM 1 HOUR TO 2 HOURS?) instead of my average 12hrs and have pre-arranged a pickup time too. Lots of planning have gone into it so I hope it helps me not to screw it up.
SWEETIE WHY NOT JUST STAY HOME AND WATCH A GOOD MOVIE? IT WOULD BE MUCH EASIER AND YOU WOULD NOT BE RISKING YOUR QUIT. DO YOU REALLY HAVE A DESIRE TO QUIT SMOKING? U HAVE TO BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF. There are so many fun things to do besides going drinking at the pub :) Go to the movies, out to eat, shopping, to a friends house, read, play a game, call someone you haven't talked to in awhile. Do something positive and the results will be postitive. :) You're worth it!
I hope you're not feeling attacked by my post, I wouldn't want to hurt your feelings in anyway. It sounds like you really want to quit and you're doing sooooooooo GOOD :) That's why I don't understand why you would go to such preperations to put yourself in a place where the odds are against what you're trying to do? Why not just take a break from the pub for awhile until you're stronger in your quit and the odds won't be so stacked against you? What is so very important in this pub that you can't seem to stay away from? Listen to yourself, you sound smart. U say u know you shouldn't go but then u go? Why are u setting yourself up to fail? And I don't know if you're planning on drinking at the pub, but if so, remember alcohol is a depressant and from what u said in your post it may not be a good idea at the moment?
Just breathe.......
