Thank you Lamplighter, Mercy and Unhooked Yes it does get better with the time mounting however at 133, 177, and 65 you are shoe-ins, watch it grow as it get easier and easier. Keep it up and don't smoke! You will thank yourself and your maker for it as I have. Well said Lamplighter, Remember that childrens book about the little train. He huffed and puffed up the hill saying... "I can do it....I know I can...I know I can!!" Stick...18 months is so good. Here I think my 6 months is special. Gosh...I got a whole year to see what your 18 months feels like. mercy My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 177 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,540 Amount Saved: $791.19 Life Gained: Days: 23 Hrs: 7 Mins: 51 Seconds: 26

Stickin to it, that reminds me of the old adage, "Whether you think you can or cannot, you're right" I agree with you. We have to claim the result. We have to accept the truth that, whether I fail or succeed... is because I choose failure or success. This isn't the roll of the dice. This is a choice. And a big congrats on your 18th month, comin' up! That's fantastic!! The Fundamentals In times of craves or smoking thoughts, my first reaction was to think hey what is this? I dont smoke. I knew from the get-go that a tool box filled with distractions would be key in helping me to preserve my quit. Practicing the fundamentals of keeping the mind busy and body active was crucial in times of being confronted. I understood that it was just as easy for me to say that I can and to believe that I can then to simple fall hopelessly a victim. I can not say enough about positive thinking. Yes, I know I can. I know that I can. By applying tactics, you can buy time and gain the upper hand, the winning hand. Next Monday, July 23, I will have been smoke free for 18 months after being smoke filled for 40 years. I feel good that I not a smokeer and I have no desire to be a smoker. God, Im sure we all understand that. For it is a matter of believing in your own abilities to do what is best for you. No one else, it is you where the decisions lie. You can be successful when you think in term of being a success; yes I can, I know that I can.
