Bad Afternoon

Mace..(and Abby too) You can do this....and you are doing this. You are so right. Take one day at a time. Infact..take one hour at a time if you have to. Keep focused on your goal/reasons. Write it on a piece of paper and string it around you neck if you have to. In the first few days think of diversions. Watching a movie takes a couple of hours and gives your brain a much needed rest from thinking about cigarettes. How are you both doing today? Mace & Abbey! Heres a tip for the tough cravings in the am or after a meal. All you have to do is change up your routine a bit. If you have coffee first, change it & have your shower first, just enough to make things a bit different, it screws up the junkie and eases the crave. Same with after a meal, have a peppermint or get up & do dishes right away. I really found that as soon as I changed my routine, the cravings vanished. Try it! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 130 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,250 Amount Saved: $1,371.50 Life Gained: Days: 15 Hrs: 20 Mins: 39 Seconds: 47

MACE and Abbey G... You are doing terrific. Just keep hanging in there! MACE, it doesn't even have to be one day at a time...it can be one crave at a time. Sometimes smaller chunks are easier to deal with. It is almost the end of day 2 and I am glad. It has been a long day for me. I have done it though. I have been strong and not given in to the cravings. Ond day at a time is all I can do for now. We all can do this. Just need to be there for each other in the hard times. Thank you all for your encouragement. Today was much easier. The mornings and after a meal are the toughest, but the cravings are not lasting as long. I want this so badly. My 10yr. old is so happy. I can't let him down or myself.
