Mamakitty, Remember smoking won't make any of this any easier. It's definitely not easy to be in a foreign country where the language is different but you're doing great so far. Keep at it! Have fun and keep pushing through those craves! I'm sure that apartment balcony wouldn't look as nice with a big cloud of blue smoke hanging over it. :) Danielle, Bilingual Support Specialist

Bon soir MamaKitty, Get some rest and don't forget those coping strategies if things get rough (deep breathing works great in a pinch). Take care of yourself and have a great time! You're doing great :) Boxerfan My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/28/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 104 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,080 Amount Saved: $520.00 Life Gained: Days: 9 Hrs: 3 Mins: 2 Seconds: 29

PS I have to tell you that it's been really hard for me not knowing French very well, and feeling especially apologetic toward our political situation. Life is not fair. A few have been extra friendly in spite of it all. Sometimes I feel like a stone wall too... and want to smoke, drink or whatever- to mask. I'm sure tomorrow will be much brighter!:) My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/11/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 29 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 435 Amount Saved: $116.00 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 1 Mins: 31 Seconds: 43

Merci to all of you. It's late, and if you were here I would invite you to the roof top of 75 Rue de Seine for a night cap of some kind of vin rouge and a bowl of Jordan's country crisp cereal for a snack (never saw a box of granola w/dark chocolate curls before:) Man... this has been tough, but you make the difference. (along with baby kitty, of course:) she's not afraid of the metro at all... So glad we can talk. When I think of smoking on this gorgeous roof top apartment... I think of how NOT out of breath I am every time I climb the 98 steps to it:) Good night, and I love you guys!!!! mk My Milage: My Quit Date: 6/11/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 29 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 435 Amount Saved: $116.00 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 1 Mins: 26 Seconds: 41

Hmmm mamakitty IF you were visiting Paris and IF you were wanting to smoke a cigarette, then I think what you would do is take a deep breath, fasten your eyes on that beautiful city, make a quick sketch of what you're looking at, write a brief description of it in your journal, then go for a stroll and spend some of that saved money My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 110 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,400 Amount Saved: $748.00 Life Gained: Days: 15 Hrs: 10 Mins: 13 Seconds: 46

MamaKitty, Look at you!! 29 fantastic days! Whether you're experiencing stress or just want to relax and enjoy yourself, smoking WILL NOT change your situation. It will only make you feel worse....promise. Remember those coping mechanisms you used early in your quit? Time to get them out and put them to use again! I know you can do this. I'm very PROUD of you for what you've accomplished so far. Pat yourself on the back for coming here instead of listening to the lies the junkie tells. How about a nice reward for you to celebrate what you've accomplished! ONE MONTH smoke free....what an example you're setting for your children. (((hugs))) Boxerfan My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/28/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 104 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,080 Amount Saved: $520.00 Life Gained: Days: 9 Hrs: 2 Mins: 50 Seconds: 28

More than just about anything, mamakitty? Do you want to smoke more than you want to keep your hard-earned 29 days, more than you want to feel proud of yourself & have your family be proud of you? Do you want to smoke more than you want to smell good, know that you're free of addiction, set the right example for babykitty? Do you want to smoke more than you want to come back here & tell us how fabulous your vacation was & how much you enjoyed not having to worry about having enough smokes, where to get them, where to smoke them? Do you want to smoke more than you want all that? You don't want to, mamakitty, the junkie that lives in your head wants to & who invited HER??????
